Luca Nichetto

Luca Nichetto is an Italian designer who was born in Venice in 1976 and graduated from the Venice University Institute of Architecture, he has a multidisciplinary approach but specialises in Industrial Design. His portfolio consists of products that are meant to be used and loved, combining nature and technology, and resulting in playful expressions, whilst his design process always begins with in-depth research. Nichetto founded his own Venice-based studio in 2006 and has since branched out, opening a second location in Stockholm in 2011 - he now splits his time between Italy and Sweden.

Nichetto's work ensures that each product tells a story and embodies the Swedish spirit of sustainability, whilst also appearing reminiscent of the Murano glass-making industry that shaped his formative years as a young designer. He has designed products for a range of influential brands such as Foscarini, &Tradition and Lodes. He has received many international design awards for his innovative and extensive projects.
