Jamie Wolfond is a Toronto-based designer who studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. He specialises in furniture and lighting design and is known for his creative approach. Wolfond believes in hands-on experimentation, especially with materials. He is renowned for his innovative approach to design and he focuses on the interplay between materials and function, generating highly functional everyday objects that can be used in interiors all across the globe.
Wolfond's work has led to collaborations with a wide range of influential brands including Muuto and Moooi, and at the age of 22, he founded his own brand, Good Thing, that specialises in curating contemporary home accessories by collaborating with up-and-coming designers. However, he later realized that this wasn’t his true calling, so he sold the company and, drawing from that experience, founded his own studio.
"I think there's a social element to the Set Table Lamp, especially in a bigger space, being able to create your own zone without affecting the whole. It is very bright, especially for a bounce light, so it creates a very different atmosphere when it's up versus down." - Jamie Wolfond
