Jacob Jensen Design is a Nordic design studio based in Copenhagen, founded in 1958 by Jacob Jensen. They focus on the interplay of light and darkness and create products that improve the life of the user. The studio finds inspiration in the needs of their clients, they believe design is about solving real problems for real people. The studio focuses on three design principles; distance, closeness and touch - which ensure the user an enjoyable experience.

Although based in Copenhagen they also have studios in Shanghai and Bangkok, Jacob Jensen Design utilise a value-based design approach, creating lighting solutions with timeless expressions, relevant functionality and durable materials. By truly engaging with users and seeing the world through their eyes, we make sure that we get everything just right — from seamless usability to that feeling of something extra.
