Gonzalo Mila is a Spanish designer, born in Barcelona in 1967. He originally studied architecture before moving into the field of industrial design after working alongside his father, Miguel Mila, in his studio from 1988. His experience in his fathers workspace led him to study Industrial Design at the Elisava School.
In 1994 he founded Ines-Mila studio alongside Juan Carlos Mila and then went on to set up, along with Miguel and Micaela Mila, the Milà Diseño studio. In 1999 he began his role as the head of the urban division at Santa & Cole. Since 2001 he has worked out of his studio in Barcelona to design urban outdoor furniture, and both interior and exterior lighting - he promotes the integration of nature into the city
