Foster + Partners is a sustainable architecture and design studio based in London, with offices all over the globe. The studio was founded by Norman Foster in 1967, they focus on architecture, engineering and industrial design. At Foster + Partners people are the core of every aspect of the business, this is why every single partner is a shareholder.
Another focus for Foster + Partners is sustainability, they audit projects against not only global standards but also their own, more comprehensive, Responsibility Framework. This framework covers ten different sustainability themes, to ensure that the studio is doing everything they can to protect the environment. Foster + Partners have also pledged that all of their buildings will be carbon neutral by 2030.
"At Foster + Partners we all do what we do because we are motivated to do our best. Media attention is certainly not necessary, nor does it affect what we design. Feedback, whether positive or negative, is given during regular reviews with the design board, which I chair. In this respect, the studio is close in spirit to a school of architecture with a jury system of critics united by a consistent code of design ethics." - Norman Foster
