Flemming Agger is a Danish designer, born in 1944. Originally, Agger trained as a cabinet maker before he went on to study architecture at Kunsthåndværkerskolen (the School of Arts and Crafts).
Throughout his career, Flemming Agger has accomplished a range of notable achievements including renovating the DR-Byen (the domicile of the Danish broadcasting corporation). He was in charge of designing the interior of the Danish Ministry of the Environment as well as Copenhagen Airport’s railway station.
In addition to these architectural feats, Agger has created a range of designs for lighting company Le Klint. Among these designs is the 368 floor lamp, which remains one of Le Klint’s most successful lamps to date. Agger’s minimalistic style and industrial aesthetic create a striking effect when paired with Le Klint’s iconic hand-pleated lampshades – a combination that has been successful since the start of their collaboration.
