Edmondo Testaguzza

Edmondo Testaguzza is a German designer, specialising in technical and environmental issues and working mainly in the industrial design sector. He was born in Backnang in 1964, and founded his own design studio in 1997. Since then Testaguzza has completed various collaborations with Italian and international companies. But his work with Karman is classed as historic, and is one of Testaguzza's most iconic collections.

The work of Edmondo Testaguzza beautifully combines tradition and emotion, resulting in expressive furniture and lighting pieces. Although, as he says, ordinary things are the primary source of inspiration for Edmondo Testaguzza, what defines his work is how these ordinary things are made extraordinary through his inherent sense of poetry. Testaguzza sets himself high expectations for the aesthetics of his work, so it's no surprise that in 2000, during the International Furniture Fair in Tokyo, the designer was elected as one of the best German designers present at the event.
