Designer Bio Image for Carmine Deganello
Carmine Deganello, born in 1974 in Italy, is an acclaimed designer celebrated for his material-driven and experimental approach to design. A graduate of Florence’s ISIA in 2002, Deganello has established himself in both Amsterdam and Milan, where his work spans product and architectural design. His creative process begins with an exploration of materiality, using empirical methods to push the boundaries of traditional production techniques.

By allowing materials to inform and inspire the design process, Deganello creates pieces that are both innovative and deeply rooted in craftsmanship. Deganello's work has been showcased internationally, including at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan as part of the New Italian Design exhibition and the MAK Museum for Applied and Contemporary Art in Vienna. Known for long-standing collaborations, such as with Pablo Designs, his creations exemplify a shared vision of ingenuity and aesthetic refinement.

A notable example is his lamp, Solis, which reflects his ability to marry material research with functional artistry, resulting in timeless and forward-thinking designs.
