Carles Riart, Lluis Porqueras & Joana Bover

Carles Riart is a Spanish furniture designer who studied at EINA School of Design in Barcelona. He also taught here between 1976 and 1978. Riart founded Gris, a store and interior design studio, alongside Bigas Luna in 1969. He was awarded the National Design Award in 2011.

Luis Porqueras was born in 1930 and studied various architecture courses throughout the years. In 1965 he founded the Stoa Company which was dedicated to manufacturing both his and other designers work. Porqueras opened his own lighting company, Vapor, in 1979 with Jaume Vaquero.

Joana Bover is a Spanish designer who believes in timeless design and finding a balance between quality and cost, she is also the founder of Bover - a Barcelona based lighting manufacturer. Her work began with scribbles of designs on restaurant napkins before evolving into a company that ships their designs worldwide and houses a team of renowned designers.
