Brian Rasmussen

Brian Rasmussen is a Danish architect and designer celebrated for his innovative approach to lighting and architecture. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen, Rasmussen’s career began with award-winning competition entries, including a futuristic metro station design and a lamppost for his hometown of Ringsted. His passion for merging artistic vision with functional design led him to establish his studio in Venice, Italy, in 2002.

Rasmussen’s breakthrough came with the Targetti Light Art Award in 2004, cementing his reputation as a leading lighting designer. He has since collaborated with prestigious brands like Louis Poulsen, Morosini, and Axolight, creating designs that blend technical precision with sculptural aesthetics. His work often explores the relationship between light, shadow, and form, resulting in creations that are as visually striking as they are practical.

As an art director for Light4 and Venetia Studium, Rasmussen continues to push the boundaries of contemporary design, crafting lighting solutions that are both innovative and timeless. His contributions to the field have positioned him as a visionary in modern lighting design.
