Anne Dorthe Vester & Maria Bruun

The Danish architect Anne Dorthe Vester and designer Maria Bruun have collaborated in creating objects in the cross-section between architecture, design and art since 2012. Their work often focuses on abstractions and on the aesthetics of materials and form in relation to surrounding spaces, which were all created with an intense focus on the crafted detail.

Anne Dorthe Vester has a master's degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture and studied for her BA at the Aarhus School of Architecture. She has a background in craft and has taken courses in fine woodwork at Copenhagen Technical College. Vester's work stems from an experimental and exploratory approach to the Danish design tradition.

Maria Bruun has her own design and furniture studio which is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her studio offers full creative direction, furniture and interior design. Brunn graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, Copenhagen in 2012. She has since been awarded the prestigious Danish Finn Juhl Prize in 2021.
