Andrea Tosetto is an Italian designer, born in Mestre in 1959. He studied at the Academy of Arts in Venice before joining his family's business, Lodes, at 18 years old. Shortly after joining the company he stepped up and took over the company. This new position was influential to the company's future and style.
Upon Tosetto's promotion, he directed the brand in a more contemporary direction, steering away from the more classic style. Andrea succeeded in emphasising the company’s know-how, focusing on the internalisation of production processes and the use of quality materials with a strong bond with the Venetian territory.
Tosetto created some of the most iconic Lodes products, including the
Kelly collection which is one of the brand's bestsellers and is crafted from laser cut metal and creates a unique play of light. Andrea Tosetto also designed the
Nautilus collection which is a range of versatile lighting solutions characterised by their domed lampshade and metal structure, providing an adjustable lamp head. Both of these collections are considered some of his best work, but he has designed numerous eye-catching pieces for Lodes over the years.
