Alex Fernandez Camps was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1972 and is a trained technical architect from a multi disciplinary background. He moved into industrial design upon deciding he wanted to participate in finding solutions for everyday human problems, and has carried out multiple creations through painting, photography and design.
Camps understands that functionality is crucial for human needs, and this is at the centre of his design studio's goals. Camps has won a wide range of awards, including; IF design Awards, Chicago Good Design awards, NYX Design and Interior Design Awards.
I chose industrial design intuitively, drawn to its human scale and irremediable sense of reality. Since then, this personal and professional activity has been surprising me and continues to unfold in each challenge, project by project.
