Aleksandar Lazic

Aleksandar Lazic is a Danish designer based in Denmark. In 2016, he graduated from the Danish University of Technology with a master's degree in engineering. He uses this expertise in his design process, masterfully integrating visionary creativity with precision in manufacturing. It is this strong background in manufacturing that allows Aleksander Lazic to prioritise materials based on their visual appeal and functionality. He emphasises natural materials, and the way that they evolve over time. For example, the way a rich patina may develop on a piece, adding character and depth to his design.

Aleksandar Lazic now works from his studio in Denmark where he creates pieces intending to combine aesthetic traditions of the past with contemporary ideas about function and form. Lazic has developed furniture and lighting designs for some of the most prestigious brands in Denmark, including Audo Copenhagen. This work includes his Reverse Collection, which is a celebration of materials in their natural form.
