It all began for Astro Lighting in the basement of a house in Sevenoaks in 1997 when John Fearon and James Bassant came together to share their passion for clean and contemporary lighting design.
It was the time of Cool Britannia and Young British Artists, a period of increased pride in UK creativity. John Fearon and James Bassant saw an opportunity to re-establish British lighting design and bring it to an international audience.
For Astro Lighting new regulations for bathroom lighting was an opportunity. Astro Lighting became the go-to brand for bathroom lighting, and now has the largest range available anywhere for this most personal space.
Astro Lighting now exports internationally with established partners around the world.
