Nuura is a designer lighting brand that was founded in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. The brand aims to channel Nordic nature to bring joy and light into domestic and public spaces. They use the highest quality of materials and innovative technology to produce elegant and sophisticated lighting designs that positively impact well-being embodying the meaning of Nuura which is light and honour.
Founder and creative director Sofie Refer explains that the brand revolves around whole and complete collections with each design range using a chandelier light as a starting point to expand into table lamps, pendants, floor lamps and wall/ceiling lights. Each collection also encapsulates Nordic nature, using organic and pure silhouettes and shapes that are often seen in Scandinavian landscapes. Bestsellers such as the Blossi pendant lamp, the Miira table lamp and the Liila Star wall light flaunt natural and curved lines, being a true testament to Nordic design.
