"More successful objects aren’t trying to be something else. They’re what I like to call expressive minimalism – they have to retain the lampness or chairness about them because I don’t like it when things are so minimal you can’t recognise them." - Tom Dixon
Iconic Collections
The Melt Collection
Possibly the most memorable range of lighting by Tom Dixon, the Melt Collection is a combination of skilled craftsmanship and modern technology. The shade of the melt lights is an eye-catching feature, created through the process of blow moulding and vacuum metallisation. To create each melted orb, they inject a melted plastic polymer into a precision-made steel mould, inflated with compressed air, and then cool. The abstract shades are then transformed into metallic wonders using a highly technical process of vacuum metallisation. Within these shades is situated an LED light source. When switched off, the shade is a highly reflective metallic orb. However, when switched on the shade becomes translucent and reveals the unique metallic patterns inside.
Available as pendants, surface lights, table lamps, floor lamps and even a portable - the Tom Dixon Melt provides ambient illumination for almost any contemporary interior.
The Bell Collection
The Bell Collection by Tom Dixon draws its inspiration from the bumper of vintage cars. With its domed shade, Bell projects a diffused LED downlight, illuminating the surface below and creating an inviting ambience. What originally began with sleek metallic finishes, in 2024 the Bell range expanded to include more bold colours such as the Fluoro Orange finish.
Tom Dixon Bell is available as a table lamp or portable lamp, both of which fitted with dimming capabilities that allow you to easily personalise the light output to suit your environment. The Bell collection is crafted from high-quality stainless steel and provides either a Table Lamp or a Portable Lamp, both available in silver, black, copper or gold.
The Stone Collection
The elegant Stone Collection by Tom Dixon was inspired by the marble materials used to build the Taj Mahal, they are tough yet tactile, crafted from solid white Morwad marble with brass detailing, resulting in a contemporary and bold design. Because marble is a natural material, each light in the Stone collection has a unique pattern; and thanks to the marble being translucent, when the light is turned on the structure glows softly - highlighting the beauty of the marble.
Tom Dixon Stone hosts an integrated LED light source, which produces glare-free illumination, making each of these lights perfect for ambient and decorative lighting in a range of interiors.
