2024 has been an exciting year for the David Village Lighting team, showcasing new releases, experiencing exciting lighting-focused events and updating our showroom to broadcast our customers' favourite pieces.
As we enter a new year we like to look back and reflect on the great moments of the past 12 months, as well as keeping you up to date on any key points you may have missed - so here is the David Village Lighting 2024 Wrap-Up!

Tala
Tala was founded in 2015 by three friends from Edinburgh University, with the aim of creating lighting that was more gentle on the planet. Based in London, Tala designs and manufactures modern and sustainable LED lighting solutions, which are infused with the essence of nature and push the boundaries of design and technology. Tala's low-carbon lighting is crafted from high-quality materials that are not only easy to maintain but can also be effortlessly disassembled in order to be recycled at the end of their life.
The team's passion for design, engineering and sustainability has resulted in an award-winning company that manufactures lighting solutions people can be proud to switch on.
Lambert & Fils
Founded by Samuel Lambert in 2010, Lambert & Fils is a contemporary lighting design studio that prides itself on the bond it maintains between design and making. Samuel Lambert observed his father from a young age working as a ceramic artist in his studio which inspired him to create a brand with a passion for hand-crafted design. Every design and product by Lambert & Fils is handmade by skilled craftspeople in the heart of Montreal. This brand describes itself as being in a constant state of experimentation as it forms and creates objects and ideas by hand, it feels empowered as well as the design. By workshopping and prototyping, Lambert & Fils can bring ideas to life as they create new technological advances such as their sustainable LED lights.
CTO Lighting
CTO Lighting is a British lighting manufacturer, founded in 1998 by Chris and Clare Turner. Their focus lies in utilising high quality materials and elite British craftsmanship to create elegant and timeless lighting solutions that can be used in a variety of settings. The duo realised there was a demand for more premium lighting so they decided to create their own - focusing on luxurious materials in their fixtures led CTO Lighting to be a successful contemporary, luxury lighting company, manufacturing in the UK. Their work symbolises the excellence of British design with 80% of their suppliers based in the UK and 15% based in Europe.
New To Our Showroom
Flos
This year our Flos stand saw a huge revamp, now presenting a higher-quality installation that highlights a range of the brand's bestsellers. Featuring even more products than before and allowing for an immersive experience, this display is a perfect presentation of the brand and its innovative designs. We are now able to broadcast a wide collection of different applications and our new display features some of the most popular Flos creations, including the Bellhop Portables and Wall Lights, the Snoopy Table Lamp, the Skynest Suspension and the Taccia Table Lamps.

Pholc
Pholc made their debut in our Sheffield-based showroom in 2024, now showcasing a collection of the brand's most popular designs in an array of muted tones. Pholc provides designs that elevate a room and demonstrate the ambition and passion that have been imprinted into every product, for this reason, they are already a hit with our showroom customers. We now display a range of pendants, table lamps and wall lights, including the Donna 7, Rhomb and Mobil.

Nuura
Nuura debuted in our showroom this year, adding an elegant touch to the entrance and displaying some of the brand's most popular designs. Their stand is cosy and inviting and has already been a popular attraction for customers, it perfectly reflects their catalogue, drawing inspiration from nature and resulting in beautiful organic forms. Some of their enticing designs include the new Blossi Mini Portable, the Sasi LED Wall/Ceiling Light and the Petalii 1 Pendant, as well as many others.
Lambert & Fils
Lambert & Fils were added to our database of brands this year and have already seen high demand, especially for commercial interiors. So it was only right for them to occupy an area of our showroom. The display features a range of lighting solutions, from dramatic suspensions like the Laurent, and the elegant Parc Floor Lamp.
The brand utilises a warm colour palette and handcrafts luminaires from high-quality natural materials, the care that goes into their designs can be seen clearly in the finished product and each lighting solution is a beautiful addition to contemporary interiors.

Events
Our team were lucky enough to attend a collection of in-person events throughout 2024 - experiencing a catalogue of products face-to-face. From more local visits to London for Clerkenwell Design Week and Light24, to further afield trips to Copenhagen for 3 Days of Design - our teams seized the opportunity to meet with brands and experience all of the year's new releases up close and personal.
Clerkenwell Design Week allowed us to browse the new Muuto showroom layout and the brand's stylish new products, including the Calm Wall Light, Set Table Lamp and Strand Table Lamp. During this trip we were also able to experience the collaboration between Tom Dixon and Kvadrat Studios, where their team created an immersive and skillfully designed space, pairing Tom Dixon's lighting and furniture pieces with matching fabrics. One of the coordinated products on display was the new Bell Portable Lamp finishes, especially the vibrant orange which paired perfectly with red touches and bold leopard print fabrics.
A summer trip to 3 Days of Design followed in June, where our team were lucky enough to meet with a range of brands. One of the highlights of this trip was being shown the intricate, hand-assembly process of the Anniversary Edition of the iconic Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke which launched this year.
&Tradition showcased their 2024 releases in the form of the Flowerpot VP12 Floor Lamp as well as the Tripod HM12 Wall Light and a new finish of the Tabata Wall Light.
We also had a sneak preview of the Tom Dixon Melt Outdoor light which is an evolution of the classic collection and is anticipated to be available from March 2025, we are incredibly excited to be able to share more information about this launch in the new year!
